A road bike frame that combines
the comfort of steel, with the stiffness of
carbon fibre to give a sublime ride.
Made with custom drawn Columbus
Spirit steel and carbon tubing, the frame is
designed with racing and Gran Fondo riding in
mind.
This bike can be ridden in
comfort all day, yet is light and fast to compete
with any carbon or alloy frames.
With a frame weight of only 1390 gr. (3 lbs)
it can easily be built into a 16 lb bike.
Available as standard or sloping
(compact).
The tubes are beautifully welded
in the Scapin factory by true artists.
The steel is then ceramic bead
blasted to strengthen the welds and prime the
surface for the WPT weather proofing treatment.
This involves an electrolosis process to coat
the surface with Zinc salts, inside and out,
resulting in a frame that will withstand anything
the weather can throw at it.
The steel is then mated to
the Carbon seat tube and head tube insert using
a highly advanced adhesive. The whole is then
painted in the Scapin factories own paint shop,
with three solid colours available as standard,
or three tricolore colours at extra cost.
